I'm not sure when, but Jeremy Fisher is going to be a half-sleeve. I just can't decide which version of him I want. Opinions?

Either way...Zachary Quinto is divine...
Also see possibly the cutest picture of Jimmy Fallon with Rainn Wilson here: http://style.out.com/2009/02/passing-judgment-jimmy-fallon-and-rainn-wilson.html
/if only I could pull off the dress that Daria Werbowy wore.
Rihanna, ok. Help me out here and answer me one question. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?!? Atrocious. It's like the grotesque bastard child of Prince and Hedda Gabler. Just don't do it again.
Madonna. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING?!?!?! I mean, you look like some kind of creepy bird/goth/can-can dancer/goblin-thing. Stop it.
BUT
She always gets it soooooo right.
...and they wore bags. well, some of them. equestrian-esque satin pants with large over-the shoulder satchel-shits. Umm I mean shirts. not my idea of everyday attire, but inventive just the same. i did appreciate the seemingly cheval inspired footwear...platform boots and shoes in the shape of hooves. This followed the theme of the equestrian pants and jackets. The show was full of thick, heavy wools and cottons...perfect for fall but it was just too much. Woolen overkill. Some of the dresses (photo4) were clearly rich in material value, but lacked a sense of purpose. Again, they looked like bags, as unflattering as could be. Although, I love the long riding jacket in photo 3. It reminds me of something Mr. Rocheser would have worn while galavanting home to Thornfield...
So this summer i plan to post a daily response to the fall 09 RTW shows...i'm not certain this will actually happen, but it's an incentive for me to practice critiquing what I love...plus i havent seen all the shows yet, so this gives me an excuse;-)
i'll post at least 3-4 photos from each show, from www.style.com, and talk about them! i usually talk aobut what i like, so it will be a challenge for me to talk about what i don't like! but i'll attempt it.
#1 3.1 Phillip Lim
Wow. This stuff is amazing, and i've never really appreciated this designer before! How lame am i? very.
Deconstructed jackets, 1970's inspired suits, fur vests and 1920's inspired day dresses...this show had something for everyone. I especially loved the detailing on the jacket in photo 1. It's so mathematical and geometric- it truly shows how much thought and time went into the design, and why it was chosen to open the show. it's perfection. My favorites:
An affiliate of Old Navy, Gap, and Banana Republic, www.piperlime.com is my source for shoes. Two newest additions to my collection:
I had a hard time deciding is I wanted these or the red corduroys. I decdied on these:
After discovering British online store www.asos.com, I made some purchases. You'd be amazed at how low these prices are, and that shipping to the US is only...wait for it...$6. Plus they're having this massive sale right now...get this stuff while it's still hot.
ASOS Red Pintuck Back Skinny Jeans- $18.00
ASOS Silver Metallic Jeggings- $15.00
ASOS Lace Front Flat Shoes- $36.71

BEST
Michelle Monaghan, in J. Mendel and Fred Leighton jewels, with a Devi Kroell clutch.
The cut of this dress is extremely flattering, it reminds me of an autumnal mermaid.
Christina Ricci, in Givenchy Haute Couture and Bulgari jewels.
On the brink of screaming "HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!", but ends up working instead. She always gets away with it.
Jessica Stam, in Proenza Schouler.
She's so effortlessly hot, I'm forever jealous.
Eva Amurri, in Louis Vuitton and Bulgari jewels.
A far cry from Saved, Eva's dress is the kind of thing I wish I could create.
Stefano Gabbana and Domenico Dolce with Scarlett Johansson, in Dolce & Gabbana and Fred Leighton jewels.
Ahhhhhhh.......tulle.
Caroline Trentini, in vintage Thierry Mugler and Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry.
I know it looks extremely dated, but...she's one of my favorite models. I think this dress is great.
Maggie Gyllenhaal, in Peter Som, with Fred Leighton jewels.
Darling.
Elizabeth Banks, in Prada with Fred Leighton jewels.
I debated on whether or not to put this under best or worst, and decided on best because on her, it really works. The sad thing about this dress is that on the wrong person, it could be a really bad mistake.
Lauren Remington Platt, in Dolce & Gabbana with a Ferragamo bag.
The same thing goes for this little number...but the tulle and beading just looks awesome.
such a hot gift for your guy:
my favorite style is the one featured, the Vaider.
they're just hot sneakers, that's all.

I never see anyone wearing the white ones. Worn with some creativity, they can be stylish and cute. Not necessarily overtly preppy. I want these!

This dress is absolutely precious. To buy it and other european delights, www.frenchconnection.com
Think you can't pull off the slouch pant? Grab a pair of platform pumps and you'll never drag the floor (a wide-leg no-no). They're hot.

Here's how:
